Sitting by the pool of the guest house that was home for us for a week in New Orleans:  my thoughts on the first day.   New Orleans journal

And then I got home from New Orleans and happened to watch the final episode of "Survivor" (OK, so I got caught in the media buzz like so many others).  Of course I have an opinion on Survivor and other reality games.  Read my Survivor article here.

What's up with espresso?  Part One here.  New!  (May 1/02) Finding a good café au lait in Montreal.

Last summer ('99) one of the trips that I didn't talk that much about included a long day on an even longer beach at Coin du Banc, near Percé, Québec.  It is a place that I have returned to more than once, staying at the highly recommended "Auberge le Coin du Banc".  It's an excellent place for reflection, quiet enough so that God can have your full attention with a beach long enough to walk all day.  This is what I believe God was saying to me that day (as I wrote it, there on the beach).  Journal at Coin du Banc.

View from my window in AprilMy plans:  I'd like to explore my neighbourhood(s) (they are many) and write a journal with pictures.  Why don't you come back at least once a day and see if I've made any progress.  Place a bookmark on this page and click it every day until it becomes worthwhile (and then click here twice a day!).

About the graffiti "Jesus" that you clicked to get here:  I found this on a wall during a very pleasant day spent exploring Venice, Italy.  I loved Italy and would go back every year (but Carol wants to explore the rest of the world first).  The good news is that Montréal has it's own "Little Italy" which is quite substantial and I live within walking distance of it so some Montréal Italian shots might just show up in these journals (and we'll see if you can tell the difference).
