VISUALIZATION and INTENTION

Whether you can visualize or not is not a problem. It is the intention that is necessary. Place your right hand in front of you; intend your left hand under your right hand; say "Reiki please." You will feel the energy. If you do not, do the V of Light technique on yourself. You could be incredibly healthy and not need the energy. However most feel the energy either on the back of the left hand or going up the arm to wherever the energy is needed. It is the client's body intelligence that is directing the energy to the needy place, not the person who is transmitting the Reiki energy.

Sometimes the body intelligence is confused by the body's illness. Cancer, backs and migraines especially fall in this category. The Reiki practitioner is a tube for the Reiki energy, which also has the ability to point. I call myself a tube and a pointer.

It is the pointing that we are intending with the visualization. Sometimes the energy will not go to where we are pointing. Obviously the body mind knew better. The energy was put in the place where it is needed by the body mind. You can ask the client. Verify, verify, verify.

THE V OF LIGHT TECHNIQUE

HOW TO GET PERMISSION

Around 1980 I discovered a bright, but small light behind the thymus gland. I experimented with visualization by causing the light to expand upwards to God. It looked a bit like a feather.

Then I realized that the brain was our tool to translate the God Light into our lives. The next step was to visualize the light expanding sideways to form a cone that encased the entire head. Visually it looks like a V with the base behind the thymus gland and the centre of the V enclosing the head.

I experimented, tested and tested, verified and verified. When I did this for people, there seemed, at least for the moment, a softening and brightening of their behaviour.

When my neighbour was visiting me, her twelve-year-old son came to ask her a question. This child had been repeatedly in trouble with the law. My friend had been told that he would be taken away from her if she did not put him in a school that would discipline him effectively.

This child had been left with his grandmother in another country as soon as he was born. Unfortunately, he did not take to his grandmother and would not permit himself to be hugged. When he finally came to live with his mother in Canada at five years of age, he still did not permit himself to be hugged. Imagine never allowing a hug in all of your life!

Not telling the boy what I was going to do, I asked if he were willing to take part in an experiment. Cocky, he said "sure" and just stood there.

1. I looked for the light in his chest and it was almost indiscernible.

2. I expanded the light and then visualized the light going up to God.

3. I opened up the light into a cone that looked like a V.

To my complete surprise, this young boy gave me the first hug in his life and his mother the second. Imagine our astonishment and delight! The family moved away, but I saw the mother on the street a year later. She had been able to send him to a boarding school. She said that her son had completely turned around. This boy completely changed his attitudes in a positive healthy direction on the road to a successful life. I was impressed.

In Reiki, we are taught that Jean must retain the right to refuse the energy, consciously or unconsciously. I certainly agree. However, when exploring as to the source of the non-flow of energy, I discovered the part that was refusing for the most part was not our Higher Selves.

There seems to a grumpy part of us that floats in us and around us. The grouch expresses the self-destructive aspects of our beings. Using clairvoyance, the negative active source appears to me to look like the top of a clothes hanger. I call it the hook.

When I found that Reiki energy did not flow into Jean, I thought that I would find Jean's V of Light and ask its permission to enable Jean's body to draw on the Reiki energy. I asked but could get no indication of an answer.

Looking further, I discovered the grumpy "hook" shape in the body. It looks a bit like the top of a question mark (?). The experiment started by first relaxing my mind and just looking at the visualization in front of me. Anything different was the goal. The shape became apparent. To my astonishment, I received a very grumpy thought response. Perhaps the hook needed to be healed by the Light. It worked. (The important part is the statement, "Know that you are one with God.")

4. "Know that you are one with God." I said to the hook. The hook straightened up into the V of Light.

5. "May I have permission to work with Reiki?" I asked. To my surprise I did get an answer.

All of this is a process of visualization. I have a theory that if systems work with the intention of the Highest and best good, I use them. The V of Light technique has repeatedly worked for the last five years.

How do I know? Each time, others and I could feel the Reiki energy turn on immediately after I received permission using the V of Light technique. The tingle that is identifiably Reiki became immediately observable to my clients and me. (It seems that the hook disconnects from the V of Light at the next negative thought introduced by the mind. Consequently you need to repeat the procedure any time that the Reiki energy does not flow.)

Is the answer to the request ever no? Of course. We have free will; Reiki does not curtail free will.

Remember that free will is to be always honoured. It is not up to us to judge or to be the saviours. Remember that we are tubes and pointers. We do not will the energy. The Reiki energy is drawn through us, as practitioners by any life form that needs and accepts the energy. Each being is responsible for his/her own healing.
