Dear Cubs and Parents,
Attached is some general information for all, these include the minutes from the last group committee meeting, the temporary address for the new group web page, a notice for Jamboree on thr Internet and an invitation to the First Orleans Group Annual General Meeting on October 26.
Thank you all for coming out and participating in the investiture last week, you presence means a great deal to all of the cubs involved. I would like to remind all to remember to return the money for the chocolate sales to BALOO by our Halloween meeting on 1 Nov. As mentioned at the close of the last meeting, we intend that the Halloween meeting to be a potluck dinner for all of the cubs and their families. Please think about what you may be able to bring for that meeting and how many we can expect to join us the meeting on Oct 25. I will have a sign up sheet for this at the meetings tomorrow and on the 25th. This will be a costume (optional) potluck and we encourage all of the family to join us.
At tomorrows meeting we will be continuing with the Jungle Book reading, Jungle Opening and Closing and starting to work on the Home and Community Activity badge (Blue Star badges) requirements. We will be starting with the Family Safety and First Aider badges and working eventually toward the blue star and Canadian Family Care Award over the next several meetings.
As always, if anyone has an idea for a meeting or outing that they could help organize, or an badge area which they could teach to the pack as a whole, please let me know and we can schedule it for one of the future meetings.
