The Romulan commander's story is far from over.
In three decades and several incarnations of Star Trek, little substantive information about the Romulans has been revealed through the canon. Perhaps someday our curiosity will be satisfied. One thing is certain, however: the Romulan commander remains a mysterious and fascinating figure. One of the very few three-dimensional female characters in the original series, she continues to inspire much admiration and much conjecture.
Because the Romulans, like their Vulcan cousins, are a long-lived species that enjoys an average life span of more than two Standard centuries, we can be sure that the commander will continue to participate in and even influence events in the Empire and elsewhere well into the twenty-fourth century. I hope to have the pleasure of continuing to chronicle some of those events.
