Here are the words to one of my favourite camp songs (sing while cooking up the dish)

Jambalaya (On the Bayou) - Hank Williams

Good-bye Joe, me gotta go, me oh my oh.
Me gotta go pole the pirogue* down the bayou
My Yvonne, the sweetest one, me oh my oh
Son of a gun, we’ll have big fun on the bayou

(chorus)
Jambalaya and a crawfish pie and filet gumbo
'Cause tonight I'm gonna see ma chère ami-o
Pick guitar, fill fruit jar and be gay-o
Son-of-gun we'll have big fun on the bayou

Thibadaux, Fontainequx**, the place is buzzin’
Kinfolk come to see Yvonne by the dozen
Dress in style and go hog wild, me oh my oh
Son of a gun, we’ll have big fun on the bayou

chorus

Settle down far from town, get me a pirogue
And I’ll catch all the fish in the bayou
Swap my mon+ to buy Yvonne what she need-o
Son of a gun, we’ll have big fun on the bayou

Ron Guidry -the guy from the Kia commercials. No kidding, he is a well-known Cajun performer and he has a swamp tour boat .
Notes:
*pirogue = canoe **Fontainequx - I assume this is a place name. Thibodaux is the name of a town in Cajun country. Thibadaux is also a common Cajun family name, so Fontainequx could be the same ie. a list of who's making the place buzz. +mon = money?
