The basics - This is a 1965 Monza with
the 110 hp engine and PowerGlide transmission. The odometer reads 40,000
miles and I think it's original. This car sat for 30 years starting in
1971, so the interior is excellent and even the pedals show no wear. The
original owner started to do some body work (thus the primer), but gave up on it
years and years ago. The second owner did the mechanicals - including a
fresh engine - and put it on the road a year ago. He then got into a hot
rod project and let this go.
It's not perfect, but it's a good
starting point. It was once maroon. I'm not sure what colour I will
paint it. I have to deal with that surface rust first. Given that
the Corsa was a little out of range at the moment, this is a pretty solid
starter car. Looks like it will be fun!
