Car # 2 - 1966 Corsa 140

There's the old Prelude in behind - drove 800km and got 36 mpg on this trip.
The flash brings out a little dirt, but the interior was actually really good.

This car looked pretty rough around the edges, but could really have been a good first learner car.  The body had some rust, but nothing catastrophic.  The rockers were good, the fenders were good, the problems around the windshield had already been addressed once (granted, the whole bit under the windshield had been replaced by a fibreglass panel, but this could have been replaced again).  The windshield had split, but there was a replacement already bought.  The passenger-side door pillar had some problems.  The floors were iffy but tolerable.  The interior was great.

The problem here was in the engine.  Literally a couple of days before, the car got into valve trouble.  Originally, the seller thought it was a valve leading to the exhaust, but I think even he wasn't so sure later.  The engine was just too rough, and we didn't have a garage yet.  Had to let this one go.  The more I have learned about dropped 140 valve seats, the more I am sure this was the right move.
