For
every cat adopted

Always
two are saved

One
finds the way home
|
| One
gets a rescue space |

Prior
to an adoption, each animal is examined by a registered veterinarian; vaccinated,
treated for worms and fleas, and inspected for ear mites.
Mature
animals are also spayed or neutered.
.
When
you are ready to make an adoption, call us for current availability.
Each animal is assessed for temperament and special needs, and with a few
general questions regarding your home environment (ie) kids, other pets,
expected periods of solitude etc. we'll be able to pair people and pets
into a perfect fit.
There
is a fee for adoptions but since The Way Home is afforded special
rates, on vet related services, your cost for the animal and the necessary
procedures, outlined above, is less than you would normally pay.
Please
note: With the Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) and the Feline Immunodeficiency
Virus (FIV) becoming more prevelant in the roaming cat population, we offer
testing for these diseases, prior to adoption. For this test, an
additional $50 is added to the adoption fees below.
